Symbolism & Allegory Pre-Assessment

Symbolism & Allegory Unit Pre-Assessment Data 2013
I graded all of the Symbolism & Allegory Unit Pre-Assessments. It looks like we have some work to do!

It seems like most of you understand that a symbol is something represents itself and something beyond itself. Almost everyone needs to work on how to identify symbolism in literature. We are working on this with the novels.

The sophomores need a complete review of allegory. As a result I am giving last year's cave lesson for "The Skull and the Arrow" a failing grade. We will do this after the novel unit when we read "Animal Farm" with Mr. Kruger.
